A wise man said “even a broken clock shows the correct time at least twice a day”, but we make sure that our clocks always show the correct time, to this while selling machines for all types of pockets we make sure that they are always the highest quality available on the market.

The clock is a timepiece machine, an instrument capable of indicating the time and in a more general sense it measures the passing of a moment to the other noting the elapsed time.
It basically consists of an engine, a transmission system and a propulsion system.

There are various types of clocks, from the pendulum, to those with solar energy, to those in quartz, to those a shuttle and so on.
To measure the passage of time was a need felt since antiquity, who began to use an instrument whose shadow marked the approximate passage of time thanks to the passage of the sun, this instrument is known as the meridian.

The meridiana made up of a fixed pole, thanks to the reflected shadow, indicated the elapsed time strong>.
In the Middle Ages the first mechanical gadgets were invented and were fixed on some of the important bell towers including those of Paris, Milan, Florence, Prague and so on.

Over time, the need to carry that calculated time with you required the effort to create something more versatile, so the first pocket watch was invented.
This effort was not an end in itself, in fact, the technology used to reduce the dimensions of that mechanism to a minimum meant that the watch underwent an enormous evolution, becoming more and more a luxury item , until fashion and its use as an accessory pushed a young Patek Philippe to minimize even more the dimensions of this important timepiece machine, even if at the time this was considered accessory It was used almost exclusively by women.

At the beginning of the 20th century, a Brazilian inventor, finding it difficult to read his watch on board his plane, asked a dear friend of his for a more practical watch with a leather strap at the which inventor could not do without it, the evolution of this machine was entrusted to such Louis Cartier.

The movements and various mechanisms

When we are about to buy any watch, especially if we are about to buy a wristwatch, in the vast majority of cases we stop to ask ourselves about their aesthetic factor and what brand to choose, but we rarely read up on their various movements, where by movement we mean how that given machine marks time and what makes it more or less precise, in practice, the main question we should ask ourselves and which we rarely ask ourselves is “How does this watch work?”, below we will list the three main mechanisms that move a watch.

Mechanical mechanism of traditional type

In this type of mechanism the energy that favors the movement and functioning of the watch is supplied by a spring, which thanks to its tension transmits to the whole the ‘watch the energy capable of making it work in the correct way, thus keeping time.
The traditional mechanical movement works as if it were itself an elastic spring that travels from point A to point B.

Automatic type mechanical movement

In this case, very often, for decorative purposes and to facilitate possible inspection, a glass or transparent crystal cover is placed on the back or on the back.
These watches work and are activated thanks to what is called a rotor (often called a shuttle), which swings on a pin when the arm of the person wearing it moves and loads what is the movement itself and the winding mechanism.
This type of watches are among the most accurate.
The only downside to this type of movement (which is no longer the case) is the fact of having to wear the watch as much as possible (something technically overcome thanks to innovation).

Quartz movement

Quartz watches (or equipped with a quartz movement) are by far among the most accurate in the world and are also more resistant and cheaper than the two before.
These watches work thanks to the electricity supplied by a battery.
The name derives from a small quartz crystal graft which is used as an oscillator inside the watches, these oscillations are performed over 33,000 times per second, they are perfect for use during sports and during busy life, can be viewed with the aid of analog hands or digital displays.
