  How jewellery is welded

  Welding is the joining of two or more metal parts to obtain a single body. This operation can be performed using different methods and techniques, which can be grouped into three main systems:

  • Autogenous welding, which consists of bringing the edges of the metal parts to be joined to incipient fusion so that they come into contact and merge;
  • Brazing soldering, which reproduces the previous operation with the addition, on the edges of the two parts, of filler metal of the same alloy, so that they fuse together forming a single body;
